rangements nor plans but we may say that our proposal is to

import the tar in bulk, the steamer either coming to our North- point property and discharging into tanks placed anywhere on our premises and into Tanklighters or proceeding to premises of customers who may have sea frontage or discharging into the Tanklighters in the Harbour or direct into the bunkers of

steamers,

The Tanklighters would convey the tar to cus- tomers and discharge into tanks on their premises. The storage tanks to be free from any restrictions as to walls around etc such as now enforced for storage of Petroleum in Bulk.

We may point out that the object of the intro- duction of this tar is to compete with coal as fuel and there- fore it will be readily understood that the trade can only be carried out if treated as ordinary cargo and we hope that the examination of the product will enable you to favourably con- sider our request.

We are,&c.,
